The desert Queen and I have teamed up again to bring you a colossal, much needed episode on a topic that could use some more time in the spotlight. Haley Ebersole joins me once again because she’s awesome and we knew we had to get into the subject of the Sister Wound together. As two Women focused on our personal spiritual growth and offering guidance and support to others on their journey, we both know what it’s like to have the highest intentions yet to still struggle to not feel pangs of jealousy & have a critical eye towards other Women at times. We’ve talked together about why this is and thought that doing an episode on it together could be a great way to get conversation going.
On this guest episode Haley and I head into round 2 of our conversations together and take a stab (pun intended) at addressing the Sister Wound. If you’re unclear about it, the Sister Wound represents the generational wounding experienced amongst Women that has kept us competing against one another and keeping us from uniting and working together collaboratively. For so long we’ve been told that only a small percentage Women will have a worthwhile life and it depends wholly on how they’re perceived by Men. Meaning that if we weren’t exceptional enough to catch the Male eye, we weren’t anything. Haley and I discuss this centuries old contradiction and how to begin to shift it.
Hayley Ebersole leads courses, group retreats and private medicine ceremonies supporting women to return to harmony with the cycles of their body, their heart and the Earth. Her upcoming course “Body Temple Alchemy” is a deep dive into women’s ancestral practices for shedding self judgement to reclaim feminine spirituality and sensuality in the container of sacred sisterhood.
